The height of the pool naturally lends itself to a bar with bar stools and even a bit of shade from the sun. This could be a fun DIY project for those that are handy.

Does your pool area have a pergola or cabana? If so, you’ve got the perfect space for people to come and hang out.
Pergolas and cabanas are great because they can provide a nice amount of shade near your pool during the day. At night, they make for a good place to view an outdoor TV and hang string lights.
What kind of furniture should you have in your pergola or cabana? This is a good place to put a nice outdoor dining set if you like to eat outside a lot or entertain guests outside.
Outdoor patio furniture such as sofas, loveseats and lounge chairs also work well covered under a pergola or cabana. Finally, don’t forget about daybeds for the ultimate place to relax by the pool.

Will your outdoor pool entertainment area feature a fire pit? Fire pits have become popular lately and for good reason – they’re very relaxing to sit by in the evening hours. If you’re looking to make the most use of your pool area during summer nights, consider installing a fire pit.
