Looking to decorate your front door for Easter? These colorful & fun Easter wreath ideas will help you welcome in the spring season!
Creative Easter Wreath Ideas
Trying to wake up your front porch after the dreary days of winter?
For many of us, the Easter and spring season is the first time our front porch gets a refresh since taking down the Christmas decorations in January.
So what better way to welcome in the warmer weather than with a fresh wreath for Easter!
If you’re wanting to see some color after the cold winter months, use these Easter wreath ideas to freshen up your front door. Or use them inside for mantel wreaths, etc.
Grapevine Easter Wreath Ideas
If you’re looking for a fun DIY Easter craft, creating a grapevine wreath is fairly easy to do. You’ll need a grapevine wreath base which can be found at most craft stores.
Add in faux Easter eggs, ribbon, burlap, florals, etc. to complete the look. In the photo above, hand painted Easter eggs were added to the grapevine wreath for a pop of color.
I love how some of the grapevine is wrapped around the eggs for added interest on this Easter wreaths for front door.
DIY Easter Bunny Wreath
A lot of people like to add decorative figurines to their holiday wreaths for a special touch. Easter makes for the perfect time to add in Easter bunnies to your wreath.
One of my favorite Easter wreath ideas is to have an Easter bunny sitting in the middle of the wreath, such as what’s shown in the photo above. Or consider placing an Easter bunny figurine on one side of the wreath.
Another idea is to use small Easter bunnies throughout the wreath. Or do a wreath in the shape of an Easter bunny. So many ways to use Easter bunnies for wreath – see more on Pinterest!
Farmhouse Easter Wreath
If you’re looking to do farmhouse Easter decor this year, you’ll want to make sure to use a rustic Easter wreath to match. I mentioned grapevine wreaths earlier, and these will work well for Easter farmhouse decor.
You can also mix in dried flowers, natural looking Easter eggs and faux florals & grasses for a country look. I like how in the photo above, non traditional Easter colors were used for a unique Easter wreath.
DIY Easter Cross Wreath
Easter is a time to celebrate spiritually, so consider adding a cross to your Easter wreath. Small crosses work well placed in the middle of your Easter wreath or off to one side.
You can also place them above the wreath such as what’s shown in the photo above. I like using wooden crosses for a rustic or farmhouse look.
But you can use more colorful crosses as well for Easter wreaths for front door. A white cross captures the purity of the season and the renewal of spring.
DIY Easter Egg Wreath
There are so many cute Easter egg decorations on the market these days and in so many different styles and colors. I mentioned using bright colored Easter eggs for a wreath, but traditional pastel colors work too.
The wreath in the photo above makes use of speckled Easter eggs set against a moss covered wreath ring. A cute, rustic Easter bunny adds charm to this lovely wreath.
This is an easy enough craft to make, but if your short on time, consider buying a premade Easter egg wreath instead.
Carrot Wreath For Easter
For unique & simple Easter wreath ideas, look no further than a carrot wreath! You can find carrot wreaths in the shape of a carrot or as a traditional round wreath with carrots used throughout.
These wreaths are a fun way to do something a little different with your decor this Easter season. A lot of people don’t necessarily think of using orange as a color for Easter, but I think it works ok with the traditional Easter pastels or bright spring colors.
You can make a carrot wreath yourself using orange ribbon, orange florals, and faux greens for the carrot “topper”.
Floral Wreath For Easter
Can’t decide if you want to decorate for spring or Easter? Why not decorate a bit for both? Floral Easter wreaths are a great way to do this.
You can start with a beautiful spring floral wreath. Then add in a few Easter eggs and Easter bunny figurines as the holiday approaches. Use clear fishing string or floral wire to attach the extra items to your spring flower wreath.
Easter Crochet Wreath
Another good DIY Easter wreath idea is to use yarn to create a unique look for your wreath. Crochet, macrame and other weaving and knitting techniques can be used to create the base for a festive Easter wreath.
I love how in the photo above, pastel florals and small Easter eggs were added to a detailed macrame wreath. For those that like a boho Easter style, this would be a nice touch to your Easter decorations.
Pink Easter Wreath
When it comes to simple Easter wreath ideas, sometimes monotone shades work best. A pink Easter wreath with small pink Easter eggs and pink spring flowers adds a girly touch to the wall in the photo shown above.
If you’re looking for a more modern vibe this Easter, stick to one or two colors with your decor. You can still use the same traditional Easter pastels, but by choosing just one or two different shades, the decor will have a more streamlined, modern look.
Blue Easter Wreath
Similar to the pink Easter wreath mentioned above, this blue Easter wreath uses a small color palette to invoke the feeling of bird eggs in the spring.
I love how the feathers were added to the wreath for a natural feel. A moss wreath ring works perfectly for this beautiful spring Easter wreath.
