Farmhouse Easter Mantle Decor
No matter how many times interior designers tell us that farmhouse decor is on it’s way out, it always seems to stick around.
The light color schemes of farmhouse decor work well with the classic pastel shades of Easter decorations. Pair your existing farmhouse decor with rustic Easter bunnies, speckled eggs and faux spring greens for festive farmhouse Easter mantel ideas.
Farmhouse Easter Decor
I love how in the photo above, an Easter banner is used across the mirror. A mantel makes for the perfect place to hang Easter garland and banners.
French Country Easter Mantle Decor
The French Country decor style also works well with Easter decorations because of the lighter color schemes and finishes.
In the mantel shown in the photo above, antique Easter bunnies and paired with painted Easter eggs and vases filled with springtime flowers on a beautiful, ornate mantel.
French Country Easter Decor
In my opinion, a few taper candles in metal candle holders would really complete the look. If your decor incorporates French Country elements, look for vintage style Easter decorations to add to your fireplace mantel.
Modern Easter Mantel Decor
For those that like a sleek, more streamlined kind of look, you can’t go wrong with modern Easter mantle decor. In the photo above, faux greenery and florals are set amongst a golden Easter egg figurine and brass taper candle holders.
This simple style is a great way to decorate a mantel for both Easter and spring without it looking too overwhelming. If you don’t like using many colors in your decorations, this makes for a more neutral Easter color scheme.
Colorful Easter Mantel Decorations
On the other hand, for those that do like colorful decorations, Easter is a great time to go all out with bright, festive decorations.
Vibrant painted Easter eggs, lovely spring flowers set in colorful vases and pots are all used in the mantel shown in the photo above. Fairy light strands help accent the colors and make for a nice glow on your mantel at night.
I like how branches were used on either side to give the Easter mantle decorations some height. One of my favorite Easter mantle ideas is to string simple Easter garlands and fairy lights across the branches to create an interesting focal point in the space.
Vintage Easter Mantle Decor
Do you like collecting vintage holiday decorations? Many people do and have quite the collection of vintage festive decor.
Even if you don’t collect vintage Easter decorations, you can still get the look by incorporating retro or antique looking Easter decorations into your mantel display. A lot of the Easter decorations on the market these days are designed to look rustic or weathered.
Pairing vintage looking decorations with modern touches such as faux florals, greenery and metallic pieces will make your Easter mantel display look like something an interior design put together.
Candles With Easter Mantel Decorations
Candles are always a great way to decorate a mantel. If you have a nice set of candles on your mantel already, simply add in some Easter decorations to change up your decor for the season.
The mantel above uses candles set on wood pillar candle holders, white Easter bunny figurines, spring flowers and pink Easter eggs for a lovely look.
Easter Egg Candles
Tall vases with flowers on the end of the mantel help balance the small decor in the middle. When decorating a mantel, you’ll want to keep things in balance and play around with different heights & focal points.
Easter Bunny Mantel Decor
Along with Easter eggs, Easter bunny figurines are a classic way to decorate for this spring holiday.
There are so many different Easter bunny figurines available on the market today. It seems like every year, I’m falling in love with another Easter bunny to add to my collection.
Many Easter bunnies come in the classic white or ivory shades, but keep an eye out for different colors too.
In the photo above, blue hand painted Easter bunny decorations are paired with blue vases for Easter mantel decorations. I love the small birds nest with speckled eggs for a whimsical touch.
String Lights For Easter Mantel Decor
Earlier, I mentioned using fairy lights for your Easter mantel, but you can also use string lights to illuminate your Easter decorations.
Many people only think of using string lights for Christmas decorations, but in truth, you can use them for holiday decor year round.
If your mantel has a built in electrical outlet on the top or side, then string lights might make for a festive addition to your Easter mantel decorations. If you don’t have a good way to power string lights on your mantel, look for fairy light versions that run from a battery pack.
Easter Garland For Mantels
I showed a picture earlier of Easter garland being hung across the top of the mantel, in front of the mirror. Another idea is to string your Easter garland or banner from one edge of the mantel to another, such as what’s shown in the photo above.
This makes for a nice focal point and brings balance across the width of the mantel. Finish the look with Easter bunny figurines, Easter eggs, candles and a vase or two with spring flowers.
Spring and Easter Mantel Decor
Having trouble deciding on whether to decorate your mantel for spring or Easter? Why not decorate for both?
Spring decor revolves around fresh or faux spring flowers such as tulips, daffodils, cherry blossoms, etc. Add in Easter bunnies, Easter eggs and Easter signs, & garland to your mantel as the holiday approaches.
