Flameless Candles for Wedding Aisles
I don’t know about you, but I always love a wedding where the couple took the time to plan out gorgeous decorations for the ceremony.
It doesn’t have to be complicated, but there’s something about watching people get married in a romantic setting that makes the wedding extra special.
One of the things that can make a ceremony special is having candles down the wedding aisle. Especially for ceremonies in the evening, this gives off such a beautiful, warm glow.
If you’re look to achieve a candle lit wedding aisle for your wedding, keep reading to find out how to use flameless candles for wedding aisles and ceremony.
Lanterns With Candles for Wedding Aisles
Lanterns are often one of the first things that comes to mind for decorating a wedding aisle. They come in so many different shapes and sizes and colors. Therefore, it’s hard not to find something you like for your lantern wedding aisle decor.
But I think the biggest appeal of lanterns down the aisle is how romantic the look with a candle inside. It’s such a pretty glow! And you can add flowers, ribbons, etc. to match your decor.
Lanterns & Luminaries for Weddings
So what if you want to use lanterns for your wedding aisle, but can’t have real candles? Just use LED candles instead! They will still give the same amount of warmth and light as a real candle, but without the fire hazard.
Some lanterns already come with a flameless candle inside. Or you can just buy whatever flameless candles fit your budget and use those inside of your wedding aisle lanterns.
Wedding Aisle Candles in Hurricanes, Vases
Candles always seem to look more romantic paired with glass – don’t you think? The glass reflects the light and creates a gorgeous glow that’s perfect for your walk down the aisle.
In addition, glass candle hurricanes or vases for candles come in a wide variety of styles. You’ll often see just clear glass being used.

But you can also find mercury glass hurricanes for a wedding aisle with candles. Or consider dressing up a clear hurricane with lace, ribbon, or pretty paper for a look.
One of the problems with glass and real candles is that the glass can get too hot to touch. Or maybe your venue doesn’t allow you to have real candles.
Using LED candles for wedding aisles can solve both of these problems. They come in tons of styles so your sure to find something that will work for your hurricanes or candle holders.
Wedding Aisle Candles With Shepherd’s Hooks
Shepherd’s hooks have become a popular item to use at wedding ceremonies and receptions. They make for a lovely focal point for your wedding aisle because of their height.
They can also help define an aisle if you’re having a backyard wedding or a ceremony on a lawn. Hanging flowers in a mason jars is a popular way to use shepherd’s hooks.
But you can also use them with candles to create a romantic vibe as you walk down the aisle. Candles can be used in lanterns hung from shepherd’s hooks. Or you can have them in any sort of hanging vessel such as a basket.
Flameless candles for wedding aisles will look just a pretty as real candles when paired with shepherd’s hooks.
Shepherd’s hooks come in a wide variety of styles and colors. If you’re not finding a color that you like, you can always use spray paint to give the hook a fresh color. On the other hand, consider wrapping greenery or ribbon around the hook to hide the metal.

Candles for Wedding Aisle Chairs & Pews
Most likely your guest will be sitting on either chairs or benches for your ceremony. Why not use these seats as a way to add a little extra light to your aisle? This is a fun way to use candles down the aisle that you might not have considered before.
Probably the easiest way to do this is to hang the lighting from the end of the seat. For example, you can use a candle inside of a mason jar with rope or ribbon for hanging wedding aisle candles.
Or consider using small decorative lanterns or Moroccan lanterns. Whatever makes sense for your theme.
LED tealights will give you a pretty glow inside the lantern and will keep things safe during the ceremony.
Paper Lanterns With Candles For Wedding Aisles
Many people think of using paper lanterns to light up a walkway during the holidays. But what about using them for your wedding aisle?
It would create a soft, beautiful glow for the ceremony, especially if you’re getting married in the evening. Your venue might not allow for paper lanterns with real candles due to the flames.
But luckily you can use simple LED tealights inside of the lanterns for a soft glow. If your ceremony is outside, you might want to consider using something a bit sturdier than paper bags and flameless tea lights.

Another look that is similar to paper lanterns is to use flameless candles for wedding aisles with a frosted glass finish or a mercury glass finish.
Because of the glass you won’t be able to see the LED flame. But it will still give you a nice glow for your ceremony.
Flowers, Greenery With Candles For Wedding Aisles
If you’re going for a bohemian themed wedding, then you’ll definitely want to check out the ideas mentioned in this section. These looks would work well for any sort of tropical wedding as well.
You can do so many cool things with greenery garland & flowers for a candle lit wedding aisle. Lots of rose petals and garlands are always popular.
But have you considered pairing greenery and/or flowers with candle decorations for a wedding ceremony?
This is such a fun way to decorate an aisle, especially if you have a boho themed wedding. Or even a more classic theme. Flowers and greenery are always in style.
Candles down the aisle can be used in different ways when you pair them with plants. You can have LED pillar candles grouped together on trays, boxes, tree logs, etc.
Or consider placing them inside glass candle hurricanes and tucking the hurricanes among the greenery.
All of the looks above are easily created using flameless candles for wedding aisles. If you want really beautiful faux pillar candles that still look real, consider getting moving flame flameless candles.

Mason Jars With Candles For Wedding Aisles
If you’re going for a rustic or country theme for your wedding, then you probably plan on using mason jars for your decor.
Mason jars are great because you can use them for so many things – vases for flowers, candy jars, candle holders, etc. Mason jars with candles would be a cheap yet elegant way to decorate a wedding aisle.
Mason Jar Candle Holders
One of the issues with using real candles in mason jars is that the jars can be very hot to touch. This can be a problem with little kids or even adult guests.
If it were me, I would want to use them with LED candles inside of the mason jars instead of real flames. It’s just safer and then you don’t have to worry about a fire hazard at your ceremony.
Another benefit of using mason jars is that you can hide the fact that you’re using faux candles. A little lace around the jar or even something like sheet music will hide the LED candle but still give a pretty glow.
Floating Candles Down a Wedding Aisle
Another one of my favorite wedding aisle candle ideas involves using floating candles. A lot of people think floating candles are only for wedding reception centerpieces. But you can use floating candle decorations for a wedding ceremony too!

For instance, you can create different layers within the glass to give a unique look as shown in the picture above. However, don’t forget to consider placing flower petals alongside the vases to create the visual of a continuous aisle.
On the other hand, you can just fill the hurricanes with water for a very chic, elegant look.
One of the nice things about using clear glass containers is that they will help reflect the light from the candles. But if you’re worried about using glass, consider using acrylic containers instead.
Glass Vase Candle Holders for Weddings
Some venues might allow you to use floating candles for a wedding aisle with real flames. But if your venue won’t allow this, you can still create this aisle side look by using flameless floating candles.
You could also use submersible LED tea lights to for a pretty glow. Either way, using candles features in water will create a stunning aisle for you to walk down at your ceremony.
In conclusion, there are so many fun and creative flameless candles for wedding aisles ideas! What’s your favorite?

That’s good to know that you would be able to find a bunch of different styles of lanterns. I would think that would be useful when you are looking for something that would match the style of your wedding. I’ll have to talk to my fiancee and see what she thinks about getting some of those for our wedding.
