Getting the lighting right at your wedding can make a big difference in setting the mood for your special day. 

A lot of people turn to using candles at their wedding as a way to create ambiance and add a soft glow. 

You can use candle wedding decor in so many ways!  From reception tables, tablescapes, centerpieces, ceremony & aisle decor, gift tables, photo booth backdrops & more, candles are a versatile wedding decoration. 

Candles are also great to use for wedding favors & gifts.  I like the idea of personalized wedding candles which you can find at sites like Etsy.

But what if you can’t have real wax candles at your wedding venue?  Lots of venues are prohibiting real wax candles due to the risk of fire. 

I was at a wedding reception recently that used real wax taper candles in the centerpieces.  The mood was beautiful, but there were a few close calls!

Luckily, you can use flameless candles for your wedding centerpieces instead.  If this sounds expensive, not to worry.  Lots of places will rent flameless candles for you to use on your big day.  You can also rent things like wedding candle holders, lanterns, etc.

If you’re looking to buy candles for a wedding, purchasing candles in bulk can save you money.  Bulk wedding candles can be found at sites like Amazon, Dollar Tree or independent retailers such as Quick Candles.

For those on a budget, consider how many wedding candles you want to use per table or down the aisle.  The more the better, but you can still get a good glow by spreading them throughout the table in groups of 3.
